Ian has worked in the financial services industry continuously since 1966. He holds the following qualifications: Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Queensland, Certified Financial Planner designation from the Financial Planning Association, and Diploma in Life Assurance from the Australian Insurance Institute.

In addition Ian has served on numerous industry and professional committees during his career.
